Black Bean Fudge (V, GF)

Chocolate and coffee flavoured black bean fudge

  • 2 cans black beans (420 g)
  • 100 ml cacao powder
  • 100 ml melted coconut oil (natural flavour)
  • 15 dates
  • 25 ml boiling water
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
  • pinch of salt


  • Rinse the beans well and let all the water drip.
  • Prepare coffee by mixing boiling water and coffee granules. No need to let it cool down.
  • Mix all the ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth, or use a stick mixer like I do.
  • Spread the mixture into a bread form covered with baking parchment.
  • Let it set and cool in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until you are able to cut it. We cut is as we go along and eat it.
